Himself's sister and her husband came to visit us this weekend, and much fun was had by all. Highlights include:

-Participated in the "interactive experience" at the Spy Museum, during which we all acquired spy names. Himself is Coffee Mug, his sister is Knife, her husband is Cane, and I am Foosball.
-Sloth bears at the National Zoo. They're large. They're sloth bears. Fear them.
-Indiana Jones 4 is 2.5 hours of shark-jumping entertainment.
-The Brewers beat the Nationals on Memorial Day, proving that Milwaukee is a city of freedom-hating Communists.

Also, everywhere in DC has great food. You should visit.

It amazes me how often XKCD puts out comics about me and Himself, despite never having met us.

I got the game Rocket Slime for my DS and it's totally addictive. Horrible puns, hundreds of sentient slimes, and giant tank battles...what's not to love?

* 1/2 cup margarine
* 2/3 cup flour
* 2 teaspoons mixed spice (something with dry mustard, paprika, and cayenne if you can find it)
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1.3 cup chicken broth
* 4 cups milk
* 1 (12 ounce) beer
* 2 cups finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
* 1 cup finely shredded mild Cheddar cheese

Melt the margarine. Stir in flour and spices/salt. Add in broth, milk, and beer. Bring to a boil. Boil for 1 min. Gradually stir in cheese, heating until completely melted.

Beer cheese soup, bitchez. Put popcorn on top.

California lifts gay marriage ban.

I know it's not the end of the matter, and it will still be a while before gay citizens in California are afforded equal rights, but every little step helps. So yay!
